When you try too hard but you don't succeed; whendespite all your efforts you don't get the results youneed, give up and move on. drop it like it's hot, andrun in the opposite direction as fast as you can.

Baffled? What is wrong with giving up?

Oh yes, we all have been trained and conditioned towork hard to achieve our dreams, and that is agood thing.

The problem arises when all these inspirational quotes start confusing us.

These messages tell people not to give up, but they don't tell you that it should only apply toyour true dreams.

They tell one to "try and try again" until they succeed, but that amount of effort should only beput toward what you really want in life and one should never quit at what they think to be theirlife's purpose.

The rest is all just there to confuse you, distract you, give you a headache, heartache anddepress you, so don't let it.

If no matter how hard you study you can hardly score an above average grade, don't worry, your talent lies somewhere else. Not everybody is an A-student.

If you always end up burning the chocolate cake you are trying to bake, maybe it is becauseyou were born to buy one and not make one. Quit baking.

Are you the worst performer on your sales team, and even the interns are better than you are? It's because you were not supposed to be a sales person, you were meant to be a DJ.

Try to recognize your talent, your ability and your skills. Find out what you are good at, whatmakes you happy and then work on it.

If you do, no one would have to tell you or inspire you to not give up because when you lovesomething, you keep trying until you get it right and the enthusiasm flows from within.

It is every kid's worst nightmare and six-year-oldJaden Hayes has lived it -- twice. First he lost his dadwhen he was four and then last month his mom diedunexpectedly in her sleep.

"I tried and I tried and I tried to get her awake -- Icouldn't," said Jaden.

Jaden is understandably heartbroken.

But there's another side to his grief. A side he first made public a few weeks ago when he toldhis aunt, and now guardian, Barbara DiCola, that he was sick and tired of seeing everyone sadall the time. And he had a plan to fix it.

"And that was the beginning of it," said Barbara. "That's where the adventure began."

Jaden asked his aunt Barbara to buy a bunch of little toys and bring him to downtownSavannah, Georgia near where he lives, so he could give them away.

"I'm trying to make people smile," said Jaden.

Jaden targets people who aren't already smiling and then turns their day around. He's gone outon four different occasions now and he is always successful. Even if sometimes he doesn't getexactly the reaction he was hoping for.

It is just so overwhelming to some people that a six-year-old orphan would give away a toy -- expecting nothing in return -- except a smile.

"I'm counting on it to be 33,000," said Jaden. When asked if he thinks he can make that goal, he answered: "I think I can."
